  • Forty students from ENAE Business School’s Master’s programmes in Logistics and Operations Management and in Agribusiness Management visited the Molina del Segura facilities to learn first-hand about the company’s operations.

El Mosca, a Logista subsidiary, welcomed forty students from ENAE Business School’s Master’s programmes in Logistics and Operations Management and in Agribusiness Management to its Molina del Segura facilities for a training day designed to showcase the inner workings of a leading logistics company and connect academic content with the realities of the sector.

During the visit, students learned about El Mosca’s operating model, how its processes are organised, and the day-to-day dynamics of key areas such as planning, warehouse management, road transport, and sea and air operations. They also took part in a discussion with managers from different departments, exchanging views on the main challenges and opportunities in the logistics sector.

The session opened with Alfonso López, Land Director, who presented the road transport area and the operating model for the FTL (Full Truck Load) business, highlighting its strategic importance within the company’s activity.

Next, students took a closer look at El Mosca’s national sea freight operations with Pablo Amillo, National Sea Freight Director, who explained the main flows, processes and specific characteristics of this area. They then broadened their perspective to international sea freight and air freight, outlining the dynamics and distinguishing features of an operation that is essential for connecting global supply chains and managing international cargo flows.

The programme included a tour of the Parcel and Groupage (LTL) warehouse, as well as the chilled and frozen chambers, where the operation of these areas and their relevance within the company’s service network were explained. Finally, students visited the Logistics warehouse to see how cargo flows are organised and co-ordinated, as well as the bonded warehouse, equipped with automated storage using Multishuttle, and the specialised sugar plant.

Commitment to training and talent

This initiative forms part of El Mosca by Logista’s commitment to specialised training and collaboration with academic institutions. In this context, the Talent department promotes initiatives that bring business reality closer to future professionals, strengthening the link between theoretical learning and its practical application in logistics.

“For El Mosca, opening our facilities to students and sharing how we work is a way of actively contributing to talent development,” said Álvaro Ruiz de Gordoa, Transformation Director. “Seeing logistics from the inside is key to understanding its complexity, its impact, and the role new generations will play in the future of the sector,” he concluded.
